A place to gather, connect, and be reminded that you matter.

Peer Support Communities

At AASP THEY MATTER, we understand that healing often begins in connection. Our Peer Support Communities were created to offer caring spaces where individuals can come together, feel seen, and walk alongside others who understand the weight life can carry. These groups are rooted in encouragement, hope, and honest conversation. While each group is still new and growing, our vision is to build meaningful communities where support is not forced, stories are respected, and people are reminded that they do not have to carry everything alone.

Introducing Our Peer Support Groups

We are currently building two separate Facebook communities designed to offer peer connection in a supportive and welcoming environment. Each group was created with a unique purpose in mind, allowing men and women to gather in a space that feels comfortable, focused, and encouraging. As these communities grow, we hope to expand what they offer through virtual gatherings, discussion opportunities, guided topics, and practical tools that help members work through life’s challenges together.

The Hope Outpost for Men

The Hope Outpost for Men is a peer support Facebook group created to give men a place to connect, reflect, and grow in a space designed with them in mind. This group is centered around encouragement, conversation, and practical support. As part of this program, men will have access to a workbook created specifically for The Hope Outpost for Men, giving them something tangible to work through at their own pace while also engaging with the group. Our hope is to continue building this community through connection, discussion, and future opportunities that help men know they are seen, valued, and not alone in what they carry.

The Hope Hearth for Women

The Hope Hearth for Women is a peer support Facebook group created for women seeking connection, encouragement, and a safe place to gather with others who understand that life can be heavy. Our vision for this group is to offer a warm and welcoming space where women can join together for weekly virtual support gatherings lasting one hour. These gatherings may sometimes be open discussion and other times more structured, depending on the needs of the group. Over time, we hope to build a community where women can talk through challenges together, share encouragement, and find strength in knowing they do not have to face everything alone. In the future, we also plan to develop a workbook created specifically for the women of The Hope Hearth.
