East TN Lights of Hope: Gather in the Glow

Late November thru January 1st

East Tennessee Lights of Hope: Gather in the Glow is a seasonal residential drive-through light experience created to spread hope, community, and holiday joy. From late November through January 1, East Tennessee families are invited to drive by, tune their car radio to our designated FM station, and watch the lights dance, flash, and glow in synchronization with the music. Gather in the Glow and experience a little Christmas magic while helping us shine a light of hope throughout our community.

Our Story

After Hurricane Helene devastated our community, families gathered week after week around the high school, searching for answers, receiving supplies, sharing their stories, and holding onto hope for loved ones who were still missing. Wanting to give those families something to hold onto, Charlene created a special memorial dedication featuring a cross and the names of those still missing. Mathew projected it onto the back of their home, hoping the families gathered nearby would see it and know their community had not forgotten them. In the aftermath of Helene, we witnessed people come from near and far to help one another, and long before we became a nonprofit, we were already finding ways to spread hope. That small act of light during one of our community’s darkest times helped inspire what would eventually grow into East Tennessee Lights of Hope: Gather in the Glow using light to bring people together and remind them that even after the darkest storms, hope can still shine.

Interested in Helping to Keep the Lights Glowing?

East Tennessee Lights of Hope: Gather in the Glow began with a simple desire to spread hope, and we would love to see it grow a little brighter every year. Our goal is to continue expanding the display by adding new lights, features, music, and experiences for families throughout our community to enjoy.

Local businesses, organizations, and individuals are invited to help us grow this special seasonal event. Your support can help us purchase new displays, replace and repair lights, cover electrical and operating expenses, and continue creating an experience that brings people together year after year.

Help us add another light, another experience, and another reason for our community to Gather in the Glow.

Interested in becoming a supporter or event sponsor? We would love to hear from you.
